It's the fifth Saturday of  the month which means a special walking tour! Allendale is a beautiful neighborhood just north of 38th Avenue North known for its large oak trees with branches overhanging and shading red brick streets and for the large homes with stone veneer. Cade Allen platted the neighborhood in the early 1920′s and was one of the few developers of his time to use stone, including coquina rock quarried from Florida’s east coast, marble and granite from Georgia and field stone from North Carolina. The tour will take a leisurely stroll through the neighborhood, including a stop inside one of the neighborhood's historic homes.
