Tour participants take a trip through the heart of downtown and a portion of the St. Petersburg Downtown National Register Historic District while hearing about how the city started and seeing some of the jewels of the past. The "jewels" include grand hotels, stately churches, and architectural treasures like the 1926 Snell Arcade and the 1916 Open Air Post Office. The downtown tour also allows tour goers to see how buildings from the past can still successfully be reused today and how doing so helps to keep St. Petersburg special.
Reservations encouraged but not required. All SPP walking tours are free to members, another great reason to become a member. Tours are $5 for non-members,
