The best little event on the waterfront!  Each movie evening starts with live music at 7 pm followed by the movie on the big outdoor screen at dusk (usually around 8:15 pm). The fun takes place in North Straub Park, between 4th Ave. & 5th Ave. NE at Beach Drive. Come early and enjoy live music before the movie, enjoy a picnic or purchase food from one of the 'Burg's best vendors who will be set up on-site. A limited number of folding chairs will be available, but better yet, bring your own blanket or low seat! Bicycling to movies is a fun way to arrive and free bicycle valet parking will be provided by the St. Petersburg Bike Co-Op. Movies in the Park are Free!

Searching for Sugarman (2012) – Academy Award winning film about a little-known Detroit musician named Rodriguez whose haunting voice & poetic lyrics made some believe he would be the next Dylan. Instead, he became a South African folk hero while being virtually unknown in the USA. You will leave Movies in the Park wanting to get the sound track! Evening’s music, Acho Brother (latin).
