Historic St. Petersburg High School Tour
Wednesday, April 8, 2022
When it opened in 1926, St. Petersburg High was dubbed the nation’s first “million dollar” school. Now, a multi-year restoration project has returned the National Historic Register-listed school to its original grandeur.
Detailed restoration work included the hand-painting of the school’s front entryway, refurbishing of original chandeliers and other lighting, restoration of the auditorium and administration offices, along with the construction of a new cafeteria and concession area.
Join Preserve the ‘Burg, Pinellas County Schools Associate Superintendent Clint Herbic, and representatives from project partners Rowe Architects and Creative Contractors for an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the school and the 43-million-dollar restoration and rehabilitation effort.
This program is part of Tampa Bay Design Week.
The tour is $10 for PTB and AIA members; $20 for non-members.
Tour reservations are strongly recommended as space is limited.
