Historic Kenwood Tour

Join Preserve the Burg on Saturday October 22nd for a little exercise and a lot of fun on a walking tour through the Historic Kenwood neighborhood, the 2020 National Neighborhood of the Year. The tour will be led by Betty Smith, an active member of the Historic Kenwood Neighborhood Association. 

The approximately two-hour tour starts at 10 am at the Craftsman House, 2955 Central Avenue, an American crafts gallery and cafe that was the original model home for Kenwood. Upon leaving the gallery, tour goers will be led on a pleasant stroll through the neighborhood that has one of the largest concentrations of bungalow homes in the country. The tour will focus on the history of the neighborhood, its revitalization and current activities & events.As a special treat, one of the restored bungalows will be open for the tour.

The tour will end in the Grand Central District on Central Ave, a great area for lunch at one of St. Pete’s many small local businesses. 

Tickets are free for PTB & HKNA members or $20 for any non-members. Reserve your spot online. Advance registration is required.

If you can’t make this first tour of the season, Kenwood hosts a tour every 4th Saturday of the month from October to April, except in December.
