Sargent House Porch Party

Homeowners Sharon Winters and Kendall Reid will showcase their historically designated 1923 “airplane” bungalow for Preserve the ‘Burg’s first Porch Party of the year, Saturday, February 10 from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m.

Known as the “Sargent House,” it was constructed in 1923 for New York financier LeRoy Sargent and his wife, Marjorie, and designed by Edgar Ferdon, St. Petersburg’s first professional architect.

Listed on the St. Petersburg register of local landmarks and recognized with a Preserve the ‘Burg Preservation Award in 2017, the 100-year-old home is a rare local example of the Craftsman style "airplane" bungalow, featuring brick columns and chimneys, Cuban tile porch floors, and shingle siding. Most of the original interior features have been preserved including the brick fireplace, built-in bookcases, heart pine floors and wood windows.

Join us for a special afternoon with the owners, with support from Eileen Bedinghaus, Broker Associate with ReMax Metro. Enjoy a tour and brief presentations about the home, along with light snacks and refreshments and a cash bar.

$25 for PTB members and $30 for non-members.
