Mid Century Driving Tour

Saturday April 20, 2024, 10 to 11 a.m.

Load up the car with friends, put the top down, and soak up some of the Sunshine City’s retro charm on a curated Mid Century Modern driving tour! St. Petersburg boasts a rich collection of mid century architecture, reflecting the city's growth and development in the postwar boom era.

After meeting up in Coffee Pot Park to pick up the driving guide, you’ll cruise the city's historic neighborhoods, where Mid Century homes offer a glimpse of 1950s and 1960s-era Florida, from the iconic 'birdcage' homes of Pinellas Point to the sleek waterfront estates of Snell Isle.

Whether you're an architecture enthusiast or simply seeking inspiration, this self-paced Mid Century excursion offers a unique glimpse into a timeless era of design excellence. Register and pick up your guide, and follow the itinerary at your own pace and as many times as you like.

This tour is presented by the Center for Architecture and Design, Tampa Bay and Preserve the ‘Burg.

Mid Century Driving Tour guide is $20 for PtB, CAD and AIA members, $25 for non-members per car.
