Successful American cities have begun to focus on green living and infill redevelopment as an alternative to car-dependent sprawl.  One city known for its sprawl has taken that lesson to heart! Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer has set a course for that city to be the most sustainable in the country.  Historic preservation plays a key role for both sustainability and maintaining community character.

This program will offer a panel discussion focused on downtown redevelopment, how reuse of historic buildings fits into successful urban growth and what can St. Pete learn from the experience of other urban success stories.

The panel will include Curtis Ostrodka, Planning + Design Studio Manager at VHB in Orlando, Michael Mincberg, President of Sight Real Estate in Tampa and Jeff Danner, former St. Petersburg city council member.  There will be time for Q & A.

Reception with complimentary appetizers and cash bar at 6:30, program at 7 pm.
